HERE'S ONE OF THE BEST LOCATIONS FOR A COUPLE/ENGAGEMENT SHOOT AT THE PEAK DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK!

Those who know me well are aware that I am a nature enthusiast who loves to hike, enjoy beautiful views, and discover new places. Last week, I took Aneta and Piotr for their couple photoshoot at Stanage Edge in The Peak District National Park. We all agreed that they wanted a shoot with a view, so that's what we did! Despite the cold weather, around 6 degrees and some wind, the overall vibe was great, and the sunset was even better. Believe it or not, shooting at the Peaks during golden hour (one hour before sunset) is not easy as you need a good location that is quite high otherwise the sun will disappear way ealier with the sunset time. You also need to know the position of the sun so you will shoot at the right place and time.

So what are the props you can bring with you for a shoot like this?

There are a few things you can bring with you for a couple/engagement shoot.

  • Extra outfits. If you have an extra outfit, there are always more photos to choose from. You can bring some accessories like hats, glasses, cardigans, different shoes or jackets that will add a different feel to the shoot. After he photos are ready you can decide in which outfit you like yourself more.
  • Fresh flowers. Aneta and Piotr brought some red and white roses just to add an accent to the photos. At the end of the day, red roses are a symbol so for a couple shoot they seem like a good idea!
  • A Blanket. At a place like Peak District which is rather raw, you will not find any benches, it's nice to have a blanket so you can both have a sit on it and enjoy the view. If the rocks or grass are wet, a blanket is a must. It also helps you to get into a different pose while sitting!
  • Champagne and glasses. A shoot like this can be a great way to celebrate your relationship, engagement, or anniversary. Aneta and Piotr also brought champagne, but we simply ran out of time to use everything. If you saw them nice shots when people open and splash champagne well that's what we could create.
  • Flask of a hot tea and some mugs when it's cold! It can be used as a prop or as a way to make you feel warmer! I did some shots with the mugs in the past and they were great!
  • Engagement ring. If it's not an engagement shoot, but you are still engaged, and you never had an engagement shoot done, we can use the ring to take a few photos with it.

Below you can find few amazing photos from the Peak District shoot! I am always grateful for such positive, fun, and adventurous couples like Aneta and Piotr who values their time together and the memories they create for life! Photos are timeless and you definitely should be having them done!
