Three things that made this wedding at Marriott special: a Traditional Knife Dance, a song for the bride, and gift bags full of games for the kids.
The Delta Hotel by Marriott at Manchester Airport is undoubtedly one of the best wedding venues when it comes to customer service. The event executives and staff were exceptionally helpful, thoughtful, and friendly. As a wedding photographer, I was truly impressed. They showed me the best photo spots before the ceremony and expertly guided the guests. If you're considering this venue for your wedding, I wholeheartedly recommend their services.
Now, let me share a few highlights from the wedding of Hamed and Helen that pleasantly surprised me:
Traditional Persian Knife Dance
With the groom being Iranian, a fascinating Iranian tradition called "RAGSHEH CHAGOO: THE PERSIAN KNIFE DANCE" was incorporated into the night. The concept is for the couple to retrieve the knife used to cut the wedding cake. Before the dance begins, the knife is beautifully decorated with flowers, and the dancer gracefully performs with it. The couple can obtain the knife by paying the dancer, who then passes it to another person, continuing the tradition. It's quite intriguing to see people dancing with the knife, adding a unique touch to the wedding.

Surprise Serenade for the Bride
A heartwarming moment unfolded when the groom surprised the bride with a song in his mother language. This thoughtful gesture left a lasting impression on everyone present, making it a cherished memory.

Kids' Entertainment Gift Bags
The couple showed their consideration for the little guests by providing gift bags filled with small games. This idea kept the kids engaged and entertained, encouraging them to play with each other instead of being glued to their tablets or phones. It was heartening to see all the children, both big and small, actively enjoying the games.
